Earlier this week, the Maryland Lottery revealed that a resident of Dundalk, who preferred to keep his identity private, managed to secure one of the top prizes from the MONOPOLY X50 scratch-off game.
Unbelievable Fortune
The MONOPOLY scratch-off ticket, beloved by many, is part of the MONOPOLY series licensed by Scientific Games and offered by the Maryland Lottery. This Baltimore County resident, feeling lucky, opted for a $10 ticket from this scratch-off series.
His decision led him to make a purchase at Quick Mart 11, located at 7801 Wise Avenue in Dundalk. To his utter amazement, the $10 ticket transformed into a remarkable $50,000 win, a tier-two prize in the game.
When speaking to a Lottery official, the Baltimore County winner confessed that he initially underestimated the prize. “I thought it was going to be $10 under there. In that case, $500 would have been nice,” he recalled.
However, the ticket revealed a $1,000 win accompanied by an astonishing 50X multiplier, culminating in a $50,000 windfall. “I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t expecting that much money,” he admitted.
This fortunate fisherman, who works in a warehouse, mentioned that he doesn’t have any extravagant plans for the money. Nonetheless, he suggested that he might use the winnings to settle some bills.
Big Wins from the MONOPOLY Series
The MONOPOLY series has been on a bit of a winning streak lately. Notable recent wins include:
- A lucky player from Baltimore County claimed the first $50K top prize from the MONOPOLY X20 game.
- A couple secured a $1 million prize from the MONOPOLY X100 scratch-off ticket.
Focusing on the recent MONOPOLY X50 victory, this win marked the first $50,000 tier-two prize. After this achievement, nine more such prizes remain available. Additionally, out of a total of ten $100,000 top prizes, eight are still up for grabs.
The MONOPOLY X50 scratch-off was launched early last month, offering odds of winning any prize at 1 in 3.29. The $10 scratch-off ticket provides a chance to win prizes ranging from $10 to a top prize of $100,000.
