The Game LLC is aiming to broaden its reach and improve its geolocation service offerings by forming a strategic alliance with Xpoint, a company known for its expertise in geolocation and verification solutions.

This partnership is set to strengthen the security framework of The Game LLC’s operations. As the operator of The UAE Lottery, the first officially licensed lottery within the nation, this collaboration is a significant step forward.

UAE Lottery Enhances Geolocation Capabilities

Both The Game LLC and Xpoint have received authorization from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority. This authority has also granted Wynn Resorts the opportunity to develop the Al Marjan Island Casino Resort project. Meanwhile, MGM Resorts International is in the process of applying for a license to establish its own casino within the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, suppliers such as Aristocrat have submitted applications.

Xpoint’s role will involve ensuring that local players adhere to regulations. By utilizing advanced software, they aim to enforce compliance by preventing unauthorized connections and gaming activities. Despite the large number of players, Xpoint is confident in its ability to manage, having previously delivered seamless geolocation services in bustling markets like the United States.

Geolocation technology, which is relatively new, is designed to confirm that players accessing a website, such as the UAE Lottery, are of legal gambling age and are connecting from locations permitted under existing gambling laws.

Xpoint CEO Manu Gambhir expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with one of the UAE’s most prominent gambling companies, stating:

‘We are excited to serve as the geolocation provider for The Game LLC and The UAE Lottery. This partnership highlights our dedication to providing the most precise and dependable geolocation services, ensuring adherence to the UAE’s regulatory standards.’

The Game LLC shares this enthusiasm, with Director of Lottery Operations, Bishop Woosley, also expressing satisfaction with the partnership:

‘Partnering with Xpoint guarantees that The UAE Lottery complies with the country’s rigorous data requirements. By employing a private cloud, all data remains within UAE borders, aligning with local regulations and ensuring top-tier data security,’ Woosley commented.

UAE Moves Towards Regulated Gambling

The United Arab Emirates is gradually embracing regulated gambling. The Game LLC stands as the first licensed operator, certified by the GCGRA, to manage this type of gambling service in the country.

This development was followed by the licensure granted to Wynn Resorts to establish the nation’s inaugural casino resort on Al-Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah.
