Despite these controversies, recent legal developments in Romania allowed the brothers to leave the country, enabling them to travel to Florida in the United States.

There has been speculation that the current U.S. administration may have influenced Romania’s decision to lift the travel ban. The Tate brothers have been vocal supporters of President Donald Trump during his campaign, aligning themselves with far-right ideologies.

The brothers departed at the end of February and made an appearance at the event last Friday, where Dana White personally greeted them with a warm welcome.

‘Welcome to the states, boys,’ White was heard saying in the video, as he shook hands with various members of their entourage.

This interaction sparked controversy, even among conservative circles. John Cardillo, a prominent conservative figure, expressed his disapproval, stating he was ‘done with the UFC’ due to White’s association with someone who has made disturbing claims in the past.

‘It tells me all I need to know,’ Cardillo remarked bluntly in a social media post. Dana White, who also holds a board position at Meta, typically distances himself from negative publicity, but this instance was an exception.

Many critics pointed out White’s own controversial past, noting an infamous incident involving his wife, suggesting it was unsurprising for him to associate with such company.

For his part, White has acknowledged his past mistakes, admitting his wrongdoing and making multiple public apologies. He has been candid in various interviews about the incident.

The Tate brothers continue to face human trafficking charges in their home country and are under criminal investigation in Florida.
