The winner bought her ticket at Murphy USA located at 2048 Walton Way in Lake Wales. To her surprise and delight, her $20 ticket revealed a $5 million prize, earning her one of the game’s coveted top prizes.
In line with standard practice for such significant wins, the retailer that sold the winning ticket will receive a $10,000 bonus commission.
Meanwhile, the Lake Wales woman recently visited the Florida Lottery’s headquarters in Tallahassee to claim her substantial prize. Unsurprisingly, she opted to receive her winnings as a lump sum, which increased her bank account by $3,960,000.
While she has claimed her substantial prize, the winner did not disclose any plans for her newfound wealth.
