Gamban’s Expansion in Finland and Norway

Gamban’s Strategic Expansion in Finland and Norway
Gamban has broadened its reach, now including both Finland and Norway in its quest to combat problem gambling.
Gamban is committed to providing tailored support for gamblers facing challenges.
The company has joined forces with various regulators and non-profit organizations to offer its innovative products.
Targets Growth in the Nordic Region
Gamban, the creator of software enabling users to block access to online gambling platforms, has made strides by incorporating two additional languages: Norwegian and Finnish.
- The inclusion of Finnish is timely, preceding the expected re-regulation of the market, set to welcome more private companies.
- Gamban aims to proactively support players involved with unregulated operators, assisting in managing their gambling habits.
With Finnish and Norwegian integration, Gamban now supports seven languages: Spanish, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, English, and French. This marks a significant achievement for the company and its leader, Jack Symons, who emphasizes that language should never be a barrier to obtaining help.
Symons’ sentiments echo those of Duncan Garvie, Trustee and Founder of BetBlocker, whose organization aims to translate its blocking software into as many languages as possible, extending outreach to immigrant communities in markets like the United Kingdom.
Gamban is collaborating with Veikkaus to distribute the software solution at no cost to players, offering them a robust tool to restrict access to gambling products, especially if they find themselves overspending.
Gamban Gains International Recognition
Gamban has also collaborated with the Ohio Lottery and Casino Control Commission’s self-exclusion initiative, Time Out Ohio, extending the same service to local players. Self-exclusion software has gained popularity due to its effectiveness and utilization of data and technology to efficiently curb harmful practices.
Gamban has enjoyed considerable success, having collaborated with the Dutch Gambling Authority to fund a pilot project in the Netherlands. The company also partnered with Svenska Spel in Sweden.
In late 2024, Gamban teamed up with the Vulnerability Registration Service, advising registrants to use Gamban software as an effective means to curb excessive gambling and embark on a path to improvement.
