This past Friday, the Michigan Lottery made the announcement that the New Beginnings Lottery Club has officially claimed their impressive million-dollar Mega Millions prize.

The fortunate ticket was purchased by the lottery club at Wayne Med Mart, located at 417 South Wayne Road in Westland.

To clinch the $1 million prize, the New Beginnings Lottery Club accurately matched the winning numbers 02, 24, 25, 52, and 58 during the drawing held on November 5, 2024.

In the wake of their win, the club members recently visited the Michigan Lottery to formally claim their life-changing prize.

Club members have expressed their intentions to use their portion of the prize money to settle bills while planning to save the remainder for future needs.

Suzanna Shkreli, the Commissioner of the Michigan Lottery, shared her enthusiasm about the club’s recent success.

She commented, ‘Congratulations to the aptly named ‘New Beginnings Lottery Club’ on their transformative $1 million Mega Millions win, which will enable the members to pay off their debts.’

The club’s representative and spokesperson, Anthony Jabbour, expressed similar joy and excitement.

He revealed that the club doesn’t frequently participate in Mega Millions but chose to try their luck this time.

‘When our member with the ticket checked the numbers and realized there were five matches, he was overwhelmed with tears of joy,’ Jabbour shared.

Finally, the spokesperson remarked, ‘Being debt-free has been a shared dream among us, and witnessing it turn into reality is truly a dream come true.’
