By meeting the necessary regulatory requirements, Playnetic is now poised to introduce its tailored selection of games to the local market, partnering with regulated online casinos in the area. This achievement could serve as a pivotal step for further expansion into the country, especially as Alberta considers the regulation and enhancement of its own gaming framework.
Dan Phillips, the CEO of Playnetic, expressed enthusiasm about the company’s acquisition of this significant regulatory approval, which marks a critical advancement in their North American iGaming endeavors, establishing their presence in the Canadian market.
‘The new license not only marks our initial entry into the Canadian market but also reinforces Playnetic’s reputation as a reliable iGaming provider, highlighting our dedication to compliance and operational excellence.’
Julian Borg-Barthet, Playnetic’s Chief Commercial Officer, also celebrated this milestone, recognizing it as a vital step in solidifying the company’s foothold within the flourishing iGaming landscape, with a significant market entry.
‘We are optimistic that over time, this license will facilitate our expansion into both existing markets and new regulated provinces, such as Alberta,’ Borg-Barthet stated, indicating the company’s ambition to extend its reach into Alberta once it becomes feasible, with broader plans for expansion across Canada.
