Power Slap 12: Returning to Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Fontainebleau Las Vegas and Power Slap: A Dynamic Partnership
Fontainebleau Las Vegas and the Power Slap contest have unveiled a partnership that will see the esteemed venue host the exhilarating, albeit unconventional, sport for its forthcoming edition.
Power Slap Returns to the Iconic Fontainebleau Las Vegas
Recognized as the premier slap-fighting promotion globally, Power Slap is set to take center stage at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas for the much-anticipated Power Slap 12 competition. The venue is slated to host:
- Five live events
- Exclusive on-site experiences for fans
All these efforts aim to enhance the atmosphere and excitement.
Scheduled to unfold in the Cobalt Ballrooms on March 7, 2025, Power Slap 12 promises an intense showdown, featuring a middleweight title match between Isaih ‘The Puerto Rican Pretty Boy’ Quinones and Branden ‘The Butcher’ Bordeaux.
The stakes are undeniably high, with Quinones boasting a streak of four consecutive knockouts, while Bordeaux is determined to halt his opponent’s winning streak. Interestingly, Power Slap is no newcomer to the Cobalt Ballroom, having already hosted its 8th and 10th editions at this location.
For those unfamiliar with Power Slap, the event involves competitors taking turns delivering slaps to each other’s faces. This combat sport was founded by Dana White, the current CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The Sport Faces Criticism
Victories in these matches often result from knockouts or through the alternate slapping technique, although points can also determine the winner. The number of rounds varies depending on the event, with Power Slap featuring up to 10 rounds of slapping.
As anticipated, the sport has faced criticism from health experts, who warn that participants could suffer from brain damage and cognitive impairment as a result of these matches.
